About Yuliia Ostapenko
I am a Ukrainian professional cellist with an Honours Master’s degree in Music from the R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music. I have been a Principal Cellist with KWCO since 2023.
I have extensive experience performing as both an orchestral and chamber musician, and I regularly play in string quartets and other chamber ensembles. I also work as a professional cello teacher and have a specialization in conducting, combining performance and education in my career.
From 2019 to 2022, I was a member of the Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Kyiv, performing a wide range of repertoire in concerts, recording and special events. In addition, I have performed internationally, including a four-month orchestral engagement in China in 2018. I enjoy collaborating with other musicians in diverse settings, from orchestral concerts and chamber recitals to weddings, corporate events, and other private performances.
