About Desarae Facey

Desarae Dee is an institutionally and internationally recognized, award-winning Canadian fusion artist, composer, producer, artist-educator, and GRAMMY® voting member. As the Chief Executive Founding Officer of Desarae Dee Music Group Inc. (DDMG), she has built a genre-defying artistic ecosystem rooted in innovation, emotional storytelling, and immersive sonic experiences. Globally known as The Queen of Vibes and now creating in her current chapter as The Sonic Midwife, Desarae blends Jazz, Gospel, Soul, and Electronic influences into transformative instrumental music designed to heal, elevate, and connect.

Since launching her career in 2014, Desarae has cultivated a dynamic global presence through visionary artistry, strategic brand development, and thought leadership. Her viral multi-platform series #4ChordWorship has generated nearly five million views worldwide, positioning her as a leading voice in contemporary instrumental fusion. She has performed on major stages including NAMM, Canadian Music Week, Sofar Sounds Toronto, Waveland Canada, and Toronto Pearson International Airport, where she held an eight-week solo artist residency. A Yamaha Canada, Hammond Organ USA, and Juicy Earz artist, she has toured nationally and internationally with acclaimed hip-hop/jazz collective Super Duty Tough Work.

In 2024, Desarae released Adventure: The Album, a 10-year legacy project that received 2026 GRAMMY® Awards consideration in three categories, including “Best Contemporary Instrumental Album,” further cementing her impact within modern instrumental music. Beyond performance, she serves as Music Director and Lead Accompanist for the University of Toronto Faculty of Music Gospel Choir and mentors emerging creatives through GRAMMY® U, Women in Music Canada, and the Marigold Music Program.
