A notable live & studio singer in Toronto, she has opened for such artists as Glen Campbell, Burton Cummings, Three Dog Night, James Brown, Patti Labelle & Dionne Warwick. She came to prominence at 16 in her hometown of Ottawa joining her father Dillon O’Connor (Mr.O Canada) -in the singing of the National Anthem for a season of Ottawa Rough Riders home games. As well as winning roles singing /dancing/acting in (Bye bye birdie, West Side Story & Anne of Green Gables) to list a few. Touring across Canada , and the U.S with her band ‘Hostage’ resulted in her first independent release produced by Hugh Marsh (Bruce Cockburn band) on her own OM records. Bruce joined her on ‘Play it by Heart” earning radio airplay that year in Canada & the U.S. Returning after a decade on the road with her band (Shania Twain came to see her perform) arriving in Toronto & winning the SOCAN New Talent Demo Award put her into Orchard Studio(Jane Siberry, Moist) releasing the 5 song EP ‘As I am ‘ . David has played in the orchestras of the Stratford Festival, National Ballet, Hamilton Philharmonic and Toronto Symphony. He has played as a guest in the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia, PEI Symphony and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal. He was a founding member of the Canadian Saxophone Quintet and was a co-founder of the Scarborough Concert Band in 1972. He was also the first music director of Silverthorn Symphonic Winds and served as music director of Northdale Concert Band. David has conducted the Wellington Winds, York Symphony, Mississauga Symphony and the Guelph Symphony.David has played in many film scores (Moonstruck, The Arrow), TV (Road to Avonlea, Alfred Hitchcock Presents) and jingles.David is Canada’s leading basset horn player and played on the first recording of the Neue Mozart Ausgabe edition of Mozart’s Serenade in B Flat K361 with the Toronto Chamber Winds. He has been a member of the Festival Winds (Parry Sound) since the 1980’s. He has held teaching positions at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, Mount Allison, University of Prince Edward Island and Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. David retired from the Toronto Symphony in 2011 after 28 years of service. David has edited first editions of wind octets (Harmoniemusik) attributed to Mozart.

Dave Dunlop is originally from London Ontario and moved to Toronto to attend Humber College in the mid 70’s. Born in Fredericton New Brunswick, Bruce studied arranging and composition at Berklee College with Herb Pomeroy and trumpet in Los Angeles with John Clyman. He was a founding member of Rob McConnell’s Boss Brass, appearing on their first seven albums. He toured and recorded with Lighthouse and Dr. Music before joining Blood Sweat and Tears as their musical director. After leaving BS&T, he moved to South Africa where he ran a recording studio and produced music for feature films, TV and commercials, and albums for recording artists. While in South Africa he taught commercial composition at WITS University and composed a concerto for the EVI and an opera based on African Xhosa folklore. He returned to Toronto in 2003 and, for 5 years, was musical director for, and co-produced records with, former BS&T singer and songwriter David Clayton-Thomas.He is one of the world’s leading performers on the Electronic Valve Instrument (EVI) and uses other new electronic music production techniques. He presently leads Bruce Cassidy’s Hotfoot Orchestra, a 6-horn band with mixed styles and innovative improvisational techniques. His other major project is a 15-piece jazz chamber group, Bruce Cassidy’s Anti-Gravity Machine. Bruce has a BSc in experimental psychology from Dalhousie University and an MA in music composition from York University. He is presently a Ph.D. candidate in music composition at York and is writing his dissertation “Soundscapes of the Spirit”.
